You only get charged at customs if the item is over $50 in the UK. I have had hundreds of items from the USA and all over the woorld.

& never been charged once as the value is below $50 or £30

That's odd, I thought that the limit was £18, $50 is nearer £30.

Just be careful

Even your lowest priced box is more than $50 (as of today's exchange rate, £40 is $73.16), so you would be subject to customs.

By the way, there are online stores in the US that are selling the box for approximately $65.

Yeah I know - I was comparing the $65 bucks, on a box by box basis it is cheaper to buy through CI I think - probably not if you are buying a bucketload tho Smiley but you do get all the UK exclusive benefits Tongue

I was poking around the Artbox site, and looked at the section about distribution.  One of their distributors is Unique Distributors.  If you download their pre-order information Excel sheet, you can see the pre-order prices for a variety of products.

The deadline has passed for the update, but they were selling individual boxes for $51 and cases for $490 (plus free shipping for orders over $350).  Great prices, but what's the catch?  They will only sell to resellers/retailers.  You need to provide them with your tax/corporate ID and a copy of your resale certificate to prove you are a business.

So this must be the price charged to most comic book/trading card shops and the like.  I can't tell whether the order form is pre- or post-price increase, or maybe the company worked out a special rate with Artbox.
