A warning to all members

While we all love the Yak Shack and the freedom to voice our opinions, it is important to keep in mind that this IS a public forum and as such, it should be viewed as a public area. There are some things that one cannot do in public and the same goes for online public forums. Things such as libel and slander are as real online as they are in the 'real world'. You alone are liable for your own personal conduct on the board as per the user agreement you accepted when you first signed up for the forum.

Personal attacks, negative racist or religious discrimination and comments will not be tolerated.

Threads/posts that are potentially dangerous will either be deleted straight away or removed temporarily until the admins and mods can discuss what should be done with them. A few threads have been removed already. If you have any questions about why certain threads have disappeared, I will be happy to let you know if you send me a PM about it.

Please be careful of what you say. If in doubt, leave it out. Or send a message to one of the mods - Roz, Mark, myself (all forums), Kate (Buffy forums) or kbmum (Cindy, Harry Potter forums) and we will be able to help you out. Also, if anyone spots threads/posts that they feel are offensive or inappropriate, again, please email one of the mods.
