When I saw that you started this thread, I thought, "Great!  Now we'll get info about Artbox's show specials!"  Oh well, maybe someone else will come along with the details.

Well, seems that we have a small set called "The Exhibition", here's HPC1.

http://cgi.ebay.com/2011-SDCC-Harry-Potter-Exhibition-Costume-Card-HPC1-/170671768799?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bcd484df#ht_500wt_1386

I guess, it's the set which was announced for a while as a small filler set before DH2. But I don't know, I may be wrong with that.

I actually think that is a card from the the ones they gave out at the Exhibition. It is a thing going around to museums with Harry Potter stuff on display (currently in New York City). I think when it first started, these cards were around. Guess Artbox had some "left over" as usual.

There are a few goodie bags up on eBay, but nothing new is in them...just leftover stuff from previous comic cons it seems (if the person kept the actual contents in the bag from this year). So far, nothing new has popped up. Don't we normally see stuff by now???

Just did another eBay search and still do not see anything new. Maybe they really are just getting rid of all their old stuff. I am really surprised to not see anything new yet....

Does anyone know someone who went this year? I wonder if they are doing auctions like they have in the past.

It doesn't seem, they do. And it's really surprising that there's almost nothing new.

So comic con is over and there is still nothing new on eBay from Artbox. Wonder what happened? Maybe they truly are done with the Harry franchise now. At least once they get the last two sets our for Deathly Hallows. Shame we won't have an update set to look forward to.

I was just typing this response when you posted yours. Smiley  If they had trouble getting WB to approve cards for the DH Part 2 set, Artbox would also have trouble getting them to approve cards for SDCC.  It really does look like they're shutting down production of HP cards.

I think Artbox would keep it if they could. I really think it is the WB not wanting someone to have it, which would make it hard for anyone else to pick up Sad

WB stopped issuing trading card licenses for its properties.  Although, I thought I read somewhere that another company recently picked up two card licenses.

Wow, I'm surprised no one really posted any info about the bags this year.

For the most part they had some stuff from previous cons, my 5 bags contained: Artbox binders(5), Death Eater Prop set(74/100), retail box hbp, hobby box hbpu, star wars magnet set(4), hbp tins(4), crystal card dhpart1, there were autos in every bag(mostly dhpart1), 1-2 costume cards, 1-2 prop cards, and the cool thing- printing plates from ootp(2 I got- draco malfoy & death eater costume card(c18)). The printing are all 1/1 and there are 247 sets.

They balanced the bags out pretty well. If you got a retail box, you got an extra thing with costume/prop cards.
They had auctions all con long for all exclusives from last con or the con before.

Not much new, but the franchise is about at its end, so no surprise.

Ahh i see. I was hoping that there would be some kind of set with larger sized props, kind of like the super rare ones (patches, etc) that were auctioned at comic con before. But at least Artbox over the years have for the most part created a great series of trading card sets with really great inserts.

I didn't post before because there wasn't anything new to show, but John insisted that I needed to show my photo with Kay.

Not the best photo of the geek, but it shows that I can sense quality when I see it. I'm attaching a separate photo of Kay without the alpha male distraction. But note the sign on the wall, showing that 10 copies of the Peter Best Death Eater auto were available if you got the right bingo ball with a goodie bag purchase. If that was 10 copies per day, then at least 40 of the "100 signed" were distributed that way.

My goodie bag included a generic album, HP&HBP tin, Andy Linden as Mundungus Fletcher auto, CFC6 from HBPU, P3 Cushions from HBP, a MM2 mini-master, the Star Wars Real Mask magnet collection, and a box of cards (I forget which).

This year I wonder if we will see the props and costumes that were supposed to be in TDH2 Series 2. I wouldn't mind finding a copy of the SDCC-2010 Dumbledore's Army Set 2 so that I can focus on the less-than-#50 items that LORS snagged (and the 2008 Felton)!

I haven't seen confirmation, but I expect yes. It might not be a coincidence that the website says redemptions will be honored through June 30. There might be special packages if Artbox had costumes and relics in-hand for TDH2 Series 2, or it could be a good year for goodie bags, maybe with TDH2 binders. The only problem I see is that there isn't any buzz about new products in the pipeline.

My guess is that Artbox doesn't have any trading cards in the pipeline.  I hope you're right about DH2 costumes and props.  It just felt so wrong that the card series ended the way it did.

I checked the Comic Con website and was surprised to see that there is no list of exhibitors for this year, even though it's less than two months away.
