It's been like that for quite a while, at least a year.  It's a stupid move on eBay's part.  All it does is encourage people to engage in private transactions, entirely cutting eBay out of the picture.

Too true, if I've done this in the past I've always put a line at the top of the auction saying that it's an auction for this person in particular (but then invited people to take a look in the rest of my store Cheesy... well.... y'know!!), but it's not very official - of course if someone wanted it they could just buy it and naturally I'd have to sell it to them Sad
