Well we had a lot of new members when I was selling my spare peartree card as I had a link to this in my auction and it was the first peartree on ebay so it caused a little bit of a stir but otherwise I am not sure how new people are finding this forum and they are trickling in quite slowly. Has anyone got any ideas for publicity? A thriving community is really what we want here with loads of members, of course there's higher risk of people coming on and spamming the board if we have publicity for it but I feel if it's well placed and we have lots of moderators to hand there shouldn't be too much trouble. Would any of you be willing to add a link to this forum in your auctions for artbox HP cards at the end? Any other ideas folks? Cheers Roz

I will start adding links and info to my Harry Potter and LOTR auctions. This is the best chat room around for both of those and I am more than happy to promote it!!

Unfortunately Ebay policy prohibits adding links to outside Ebay in any listing. The best way would be create an "About Me" page promoting this site and write "please take a look AboutMe page" in description, as that is officially allowed. I think that it is a great idea if we add it to our auctions but also I thinkthe word of Mouth or emails as the case maybe . I only found this site because a friend told me about it. And i have to admit that it is the friendliest and great site I have ever been too

Roz, this is still the best forum going, publicity or not, it is full of collectors and that is fantastic. Sorry if I have been quiet of late but work calls , and that is what buys the preciouses, NSY and the infinitate overtime, God bless! I still read every night and it is good to hear all the banter. Long live the forum of the people! P.S. I am not a commie!

I have been included a little plug for this forum and a link to it in all my emails to buyers of my harry potter auctions over the last month and most of them have mentioned checking it out, and thanked me for the link. I think that is working pretty good, and hopefully news of this forum will spread and it will grow.

Thanks Zach!
I don't actually have any HP to sell - but with the update set I imagine I will have a few spares I'll have to sell to get some of those harder to find cards (unless anyone here will trade me.. ) so I'll do the same then - it's the best way!
Thanks again!
Roz

Hello Roz, I too agree with all that I really enjoy this forum and is by the far the most friendly of all card collecting sites!! I plan on selling quite a bit of hp and lotr auctions in the future and will be more than happy to include a link to this site! Ztaylork had a great idea in including the link in his emails as well...I think I can follow suit! Thanks again Roz for a job VERY well done!!!

Ooh don't thank me! 1) It might go to my head!!! 2) A forum is nothing without cool, outspoken, fun members to chat with - you guys have provided all that and Mark has provided a site, webspace and bandwidth for it all! .... But I'll take any spare praise left over after that!

Let's have a forum-meet at the next show....Memorabilia perhaps...Collectormania will be too cramped. Hell, why not have a table at Memorabilia where we can sell/trade our spare cards??? We could have a massive Yak Shack banner!

Hmmm yes - and there's the small matter of £170 a table! We'd have to sell off quarters of our table - for £60 a piece... ahem sorry I mean £42.50 - after all we are getting the airspace for the banner! Or we could kidnap someone we know with 4 tables and just use the tables for our own evil plans (*insert Muttley laugh here*)

I think £170 is for a wall table How about T-shirts?? Wasn't this discussed a few weeks back??
