Who is your carrier?  I have Cingular and recently upgraded my phone.  I tried to download a ringtone and the text message to confirm never came through.  I called them, and they actually had to set it up for me.  Duh.  You would think they would do that at connection.

I would of thought if your ringing off your phone it would be free. Just stick it out and the problem will get sorted. When I got my new phone and when my first bill came in I was on the phone to Orange customer service for about 1 hour to get the problem sorted (Mind you most of that time was explaining what the problem was) then the next month the same thing happened and I was on the phone another hour.

The problem is now sorted and what I found was if you say to them you will leave and go to another serive provider they get your problem sorted a whole lot faster, it's not the nicest way but it does work  Wink

So my advice would be stick out the call and remember they want you more then you need them so stick it to them if there not too helpful.  Grin

Thanks for that I will give that a try...my other thought was since it says it takes upto 24hrs to connect your mobile, I'm wondering whether it will take abit longer for hem to set up the text messaging to receive them.

If it says allow 24 hours then I would wait that time and if the problem is still there give them a ring.

Did you get this sorted? if not then the problem is you need to re-input you msg center number. TMob can give you that and the menu options you need to get to it over the phone.
