Hi All, ,

I have seen some boxes being sold and wandered if anyone knew what the whole set consisted of ie amount of chase,costumes etc,and how easy /hard and expensive it would be to get the rest of the cards.

Please someone let me know

Best bet for ANY set is to visit Jeff Allender's Checklist site... He typically lists everything...

Yup, google for allender and the name of the set you are looking for and you'll find the info you want.

For more detail though you can always do a search on here, at the top left of the shack you will see a search box, just write in the name of the set and see what it comes up with - in this case it would take you to:

beware if you buy boxes these cards were very easy to cherry pick and there are a few dishonest people out there only buy from people you trust

It is probably very easy to get a Master Set the most expensive card I have seen is the Hood auto.

The Thunderbirds Movie Hobby Boxes were really quite good and a overlooked set it had great Sketch Cards good autos and costumes but I agree with gimli the boxes were very easy to cherry pick if I remember all the good cards were in the top 2 packs I opened 5 cases and still have 1 case full of packs which I would expect to contain purely common and foil cards. Plus I dont think the boxes were factory sealed which is a problem for buying from the secondary market.

Add to the fact that Cards Ink have been selling the boxes cheap after having removed the autos and costumes themselves to sell on there retail site and you may find it's simply not worth buying a box. (I know they did this as I have been offered boxes with nothing in from them directly)

Even so, it was a pretty nice set. But collation of the base cards was a problem too. It looks like some of the base cards were printed about half as often as other base cards, since the same short-numbers happen in cases across the English-speaking world. Some cards might have been even scarcer than that.

Redemption cards for the "1966" card set showed up more often than we expected for a set with a price-guide value of £50-£75, so it's likely that a large boxful of those sets turned up on a shelf somewhere.
