I'm seeing the "Image Hosted by Tripod" logo still. For the notepad, the Yak page references a link to:
-- slytherynhouse.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/ritanotepad_black.jpg
So you did everything right. But all of the images are getting redirected by Tripod to:
-- slytherynhouse.tripod.com/adm/interstitial/remote.jpg
If I type in the "correct" (without the redirect) link address, it still shows the Tripod logo in the browser screen, but I can download the image to disk and it looks great. So the file is there, the link ought to work, but something funny's happening at the hosting site.
That looks to me like a glitch at Lycos, hopefully temporary ...

Well, I've just right-clicked on the Tripod logos and selected 'Properties' ... which in turn gives you the URL of the pic ... if you then highlight that and copy it and then paste that link onto another internet browser page, hopefully you'll be able to see the cards. That's what I've just done and then found that when I come back to view this particular thread both pics now show up! As Jeff says, I think there's some kind of hosting glitch, but it's a useful tip to know in case images aren't showing up on pages when they should.
