But it gives you all time to collect the upcoming 3 cards sets before OotP Wink

I'm surprised with WB, we usually dont get a release date till they release the Teaser Trailer

Can someone tell me why they don't release the film World wide on the same day  Huh.  We are not still in the dark ages (ie 1977  ROFL! ) when you had to wait for one cinema to finish with their reels of film before another one could show the movie.  Surely they are now on some sort of digital disk or at least more copies are produced.  I am not in Australia but I would be thoroughly miffed if I had to wait nearly two months for a film that the rest of the world had already seen.  I absolutely hate video piracy but with release dates like this the industry is just fueling the market.

Trey, we can sulk together... Undecided

It was the same with POTC when it came out two years ago; US and UK got it in July, us in September. This time around, we get it a day before the US.... maybe its time we started complaining...

There is such a discrepancy between us and the rest of the countries. I know we are further away, but it doesn't take 2 months to send the film here....

Try to go to the premiere in Syndney. I remember that Wallace and Gromit was released first in Australia because of the reaction Nick Park got when he went to the Chicken Run premiere!

So show some enthusiasm guys Smiley

Or maybe they just fancied a late holiday to Aus

Morning All Wink Cheesy Grin,

The release date of a WB film worldwide depends on which terrotries want to show and buy the film,WB film company usualy if the film is expected to be big like the HP films are and were,do a dual release date for uk and usa, then other european countries a little later, I know this happened with the 1st film because they were worried about the piracy market affecting the overall box office total, even though when I worked there they had received a pirate copy pre-release and it was very bad it was really just a load of trailer joined together.
I think in general a lot of film companies do the same now to reduce the amount of pirates floating the open market as they do depend on their seasonal big films do rake in the most money possible.

Cheers

Paul
