Hi Roz:

Now that you have introduced us to Warren and his sketch cards I am not so concerned as to what Topps will do or not.  Somehow I cannot see both Alan Lee and John Howe being paid enough by Topps to produce the quantity of sketch cards that would be necessary.

Warren's work is outstanding and I look forward to seeing more of it!   Smiley

Hello all,
Thought i'd better say hello, rather than lurking forever! I mainly collect buffy and angel (i know, wrong forum) but if i post enough i may convert you all!!! I live in Sussex, in the UK, and spend far too much on cards...

Welcome Pete, this certainly isn't the "wrong forum" for anything. If I am honest with you it is hoped that we will add ALL new card sets to the forum price guide

http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards/

that we can get images for, and I do know that there are a handful of other Buffy/Angel fans on the board too Smiley if you guys have enough to chat about there's no reason why you can't have your own board on here really.

Hi everyone, I joined this forum because I absolutely adore LOTR-books and movies! I was born and raised in New York City and I like to collect all things LOTR. I also love Buffy and Angel. Now that they're no longer airing on tv, my favorite show is Lost. I 'm also a big fan of sci-fi and horror films. Grin

It sounds like you have excellent taste Wink

LOTR is fantastic - I am a much bigger fan of the extended editions than the Theatrical editions they seem to get a step closer to the books (I still haven't forgiven PJ for changing things but overall the world Tolkien described is brought to life by these movies if not the exact story he told Smiley)

So I am a huge fan too Smiley

*and - shh but I don't think we are alone*

I just wanted to welcome all the Newbies and say Hello myself, as although I am far from new here, I never actually introduced myself in this thread.  Sorry about that!!

Just a quick hello - at 38 I'm probably far too old for this sort of thing (games, forums, card collecting) but hey, whatever floats your boat.  I met Olly and MPC at Memorabilia this year (MPC christened me Geek Boy and it sort of stuck) but I'm also known as General Ka Dargo - big fan of Farscape.  So there you go, that's me.  Happy New Year!

Hey Geek Boy!!

Hope you had a good Christmas.

It was good to meet you at Memo and just as good to see you on the Yak Shack  Grin

Welcome and Happy New Year!

Don't worry about your age here!  I'm older than you and so are some other members of the forum.  It's fun to have a second childhood (or so I told my husband when I asked for HP boxes for Christmas)!

Welcome! Cheesy

Hi Olly, thanks for the welcome and yes, I had a great Christmas.  The DS and PSP consoles kept me occupied for a fair bit of it!  Did MPC tell you to call me Geek Boy then?

Well MPC called me Geek Boy at Memo - whilst testing my knowledge of Star Wars (and trying to sell me a load of cards).  Pretty cheeky considering it was only the second time we'd met  Tongue

But it's OK - rather be a geek than a nerd.  A colleague at work is in to all this sort of stuff too and he gets mightily offended if anyone calls him a nerd.  So he gets called "nerd" a lot  Grin

Well I have to say seeing you in the flesh I wouldn't have labeled you a geek at all. But I didn't test your knowledge so you might be yet  Wink   Grin
