I was heading through London tonight (and doesn't Mark know it - he was on the phone - and as usual I was going "ooh there's the London Eye" and "ooh there's Big Ben and the houses of parliament all lit up" (I'm convinced the people on the train thought I was drunk
but even though I see these buildings every 1-2 weeks I still get excited, actually I often get off the tube (subway) a stop early and take the Millennium Bridge across the thames on foot just to watch the world go by (if I'm not rushing for a train anyway
)
Anyway, wandering through London most Londoners were wearing black tophats with a shamrock green rim - you can never accuse Londoners of not getting in with the spirit of things
, the only group of people I met and chatted to that WERE NOT wearing the hats were a group of... you guessed it ... a group of 4 Irishmen
