 Name me a Prime Minister since Ted Heath that was "well liked"  For some reason (though I was too young to know her policies etc) I had a lot of respect for Maggie; she never used her position to get holiday's free in celebrities homes! She never left Britain "on holiday" in all her time in "power" - I think she holidayed in Cornwall - so she never left herself open to criticism from that point. Oh where to START with why Blair is unpopular - he's facing calls from his own party to quit before the next general election!

I know nothing off tony blair or poilitics. Too much to learn and think about when you have Harry Potter on at the cinema's. But B.Liar is on all of the posters around nottingham and some protests. Last week they had a big stuffed bush and blair and they burnt it in the cities square. the police did nothing, i find that sickening

Ben - we are rubbish at football. We content ourselves with thinking we have some of the best footballers in the world here - but in all these years of me watching the world cups and the euro cups we never win nothing... so David Beckham is a big ponse... there's not doubt about it - he's no Ryan Giggs
Easy there sister, "no Ryan Giggs", maybe I am maybe not, I am definately no Rudd VanNistleroy! At least I still have Posh, did you ever hear the story in the UK about how Becks and Posh came to L.A. Cali and wanted a shoe store to close the doors so they could shop in private and they said "who are you???" he said Beckham and they said hell no! I thought that was kind of funny no royal treatment in the US for Footballers. Anyway I did see you pulled it out against Switzerland. That must feel great!???  Keep me posted as it is not hardley even on highlight shows around here. |

Hi Roz: I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret Thatcher twice. She and President Reagan visited our Air Station after the Falklands War to thank us for providing support to the Royal Air Force and Navy. Don't ask what we did because I still cannot talk about it.  The second time was when she landed at Andrew's Air Force Base outside of Washington D.C., this is the base all foreign heads of state use when visiting the President. As my Squadron is based there we were in the receiving line when she and her party got off the aircraft. She had remembered me from the previous visit I talked about earlier. I was very honored she remembered who I was as that meeting was over a year before this one! She was a very good friend and supporter of our President and I saw where she attended President Reagan's funeral last week. It was a very moving ceremony for one of the best President's this country has ever had. |

She had remembered me from the previous visit I talked about earlier.
I really do think this is the sort of thing famous, clever and powerful people should do if they possibly can - not only does it show you care but it also shows you are clever and have a good memory, which is assuring to your countrymen  Ed she didn't just attend Regan's funeral but gave a speech at it. Unfortunately she is not in great shape herself, she lost her husband Dennis not long ago and in truth he was her rock. Sadly she had to pre-record her address for the funeral because of her illness (she might have started repeating lines inadvertently or getting lost  )but she was careful to wear the same clothes to the funeral as she did in the film It's a sad business when the people you grow up so respecting grow old |

Isn't that the truth Roz. I did hear her speech. She is a remarkable woman.
I used to watch English football on Sunday mornings here in the States. One of our channels carried the games and I found them very enjoyable. Manchester United was a very good team as I recall.
What team is the best in England today?
