I'm a newbie! Any tips? where to buy online? where to buy in Canada?

I JUST found out about these cards (yes I've been living under a rock!) and bought a few boxes of POAU off ebay  . Now I'm dying to get my hands on some Goblet of Fire cards.
Any tips for a newbie such as myself would be greatly appriciated!

If you're looking for a Canadian dealer, you could try Warp 9.  I live in the US, but they've always given me excellent service and fast shipping.

Hi Matthea, and welcome.

There are already some great collectors of Potter in Canada, but I won't mention their names in case they start blushing

I believe you guys have equally eagle-eyed import tax officers as we do in the UK, so when you are importing from the US, you may find you have to pay extra when the parcel arrives

There are some nice folk called Warp 9 in Canada who are well known on the trading card scene who may be able to help you with your collection

Those are the only dealers I am aware of in Canada, although you might be interested that BreyGent Marketing actually print all their card sets (john wayne, 3 stooges, Wizard of Oz - coming soon ) in Canada, so there is plenty going on up there

Oh man, tell me about those customs agents! We always get taxes, tariffed and dutied! My husband and I are trying a different approach now...buying the cards under our company and having them shipped there. We can sell doubles one ebay under the company name etc... and hopefull because it is a business and we have a PST and GST number (venders and tax permit for Ontario, Canada) we won't have to pay PST.
Doing it this way, I can collect for myself and sell to cover my cost (hopefully). My husband just laughs at me, but is encouraging. He knows I'll probably get addicted and spend without selling

Warp 9 are wonderful to deal with and a good place to look and your husband sounds rather sweet in that he's encouraging but knows you'll probably just buy cards rather than sell them!
Of course there's always Tom - tomunique - who might be able to help out and he's a great guy to deal with and a firm Forum favourite!!
