Can I ask why Bratz are morally bankrupt?  Is it because they have new ones every week or is it the fact the feet (and sometimes their heads) come off  |

Ahh i see where you are coming from now. Personally I think they should sell 'normal' dolls that actually look like real women (cellulite included lol), rather than things they will never live upto without tons of surgery to look plastc themselve s:  |

I totally agree!!! I can't stand those Bratz!!! How horrible for a mom to even think of "classifying" what their child should play with!!  As you all know, I have 4 boys. And each one of them had a bean bag like baby!! My two youngest ones still have them in their beds!! (The older two destroyed theirs!! ) But I'm all for this!! My youngest wanted a Pegasus Barbie and horse for Christmas!! And he got it!!  My other son had a Dora b-day party when he turned 4!!! Oh to think of the horror if I wasn't allowed to have trucks when I was young!! |

Speaking from experance, there's not one child that will only play with toys made for either boys or girls, you can go anywhere and see boys playing with Barbie and girls playing with trucks and digging up mud Mind you the only think I used to do with Barbie was pull her head off and through her down the stairs or out the window |

My 7 year old girl got one in a happy meal and threw it out the car window! Speaking of happy meals, that's another pet peeve of mine. You order one and the person at the counter asks "do you want a "boys toy or a girls toy". I usually say "depends on what the toy is." "Oh, it's a car or a doll?" "Yes then, my daughter would like a girls toy, meaning the car." It confuses the heck out of them! |

That's sad that a little girl's mother would make her daughter feel foolish or inappropriate for wanting to look at Star Wars toys. Last time I checked, Star Wars, like Harry Potter, is not gender specific. I remember when I was in kindergarten, I chose to play Star Wars with the boys (we had a spaceship made out of kiddie chairs  )--I was having so much fun, until the girls came over and told me I shouldn't be playing boys' games and that if I wanted to be friends with them, I had to join them in the kiddie kitchen and play "house." I didn't leave the spaceship. I can only assume it is the mothers who try to impress certain stereotypical gender standards upon their children. My parents NEVER boxed me into an "acceptable" box. I played with cars, Barbie Dolls, cabbage patch kids, etc. I'm grateful for that. Agree totally about the Bratz dolls--and people wonder why today's youth is growing up so fast.  The American Girl pleasant company dolls are lovely and usually introduce some history and culture to children. |

I won't allow Bratz in my house. It's a struggle, because my daughter's friends have them, so of course my daughter wants them. I've been amazed this spring that those toys were given to the birthday girl at a few parties my daughter attended. All of the parents were sitting around complaining about the dolls, yet they're the ones who purchased them as presents!  My kids have always had a variety of toys. Now that they're a little bit older, my son is more interested in video games and Super Mario, while my daughter likes Disney princesses and Barbie, but we've never encouraged them to like these things in particular. |

I plan to get her one of the girl dolls when she's older. My youngest cousins had Josephina and Samantha. I remember because I used to buy them outfits for Christmas.  |

They are beautiful dolls--the Bity babies are so cute. Have you seen the twin babies? They are adorable too. I remember when I first saw the American Girl Kirsten Doll--I wanted that doll so much I carried the catalogue open to her picture around with me forever (in my backpack, to school, around the house) until my parents got her for me for Christmas one year. I remember I was over the moon. They have grown so much and the outfits are unbelievably gorgeous! Your daughter will LOVE them! |

Im so cross I could....cry, apparently. Ive just been to the gym, and on the way a car went speeding through a roundabout which I was half way around, and if I hadnt breaked, would have taken off the front of my car. I was a bit peeved, but Id seen them coming up really fast, so I knew that they might not give way... Coming out of the gym, I walked to my car door, and noticed dents/scratches on the front corner, bumper etc, that werent there last time I looked. I keep my car parked out front of my house, so it looks like some idiot has clipped my car, and not left a note or anything Im normally only home when its dark, except for the weekend, so Ive only just noticed it, but it could have been there for a week or two. Its not huge, and can probably be fixed quite easily, but my response was to burst into tears Its my first car and im quite proud of it, its in very good condition, so Im quite disappointed that some idiot has hit it and just driven off......maybe it was Paris Hilton, I hear she's good at that |

That is so sad. I know the exact feeling, but I got a note....only it was from someone else who witnessed it happen and they wrote down the persons license plate. I was lucky enough to find the person and they fixed the damage.
