As you all know, I have dial up internet connection and have had nothing but problems with my pC.  I can now not access the net at all.  I can log on, but all web pages say "page can not be displayed".  I have a feeling this is because of some setting on my PC that I don't know how to adjust.  So I have been tossing the idea of getting Verizon DSL (not cable).  Of course, if I could figure out my setting right, I would stick with the free dial up no matter how much I hate it because it still saves me money.

My choices for DSL are:

$14.95 per month for 768k/128k
$29.95 per month for 3M/768k

Chances are, I will still have problems accessing web pages, but since it will not be plugged in to my phone line, I could call tech support Wink

Anyway, I prefer the $15 plan.  My question is, if anyone knows, will this still be faster than dial up?  My parents have Comcast Cable Modem, which I know is faster than DSl (and great), but too costly for me right now.  Do you think I would be happy with the $15 option, or will it still be too slow.

I was thinking of upgrading my Netzero to premium for $10 a month, but it is still dial up and through my phone line.

Any suggestions would be great.  Thanks!
