another weird eBay auction

I said I would email this guy a while ago.  He just wrote back.  I am half tempted to bid.  Check out his response:


Hi, You previously sent me a question regarding my box auction. It has been relisted as item #5607178517.
I specialize in mystery auctions. I recently sold an "envelope" on eBay for $3100. No clues or updates. The buyer left me amazing positive feedback because the envelope contained a Warranty Deed for a $10,000 piece of land in a golf course, lakefront community. Another time I sold a sealed suitcase for $7100. It was full of currency. One Gold Certificate $20 bill was worth thousands. Again, great feedback from a satisfied buyer. Two weeks ago I sold mystery Xmas gifts for $20 each and one buyer got a $1000 cash bonus. Again, legitimate feedback, too. I AM NOT implying that any similar item, bonus, award or enticement is in these boxes, but I have almost 600 positive transactions that speak for themselves. THIS IS A MYSTERY AUCTION FOR 2 CARDBOARD BOXES! The high bidder on this auction will be VERY HAPPY!! Who knows, this auction might be featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Silly question time - Why would anyone sell a $10,000 piece of land for $3,100?  Or a suitcase of currency and make at least a $3,000 loss    Maybe I am missing something or is this a very rich, eccentric person with too much time and money.  Call me suspicious but I still smell a rat.
