Anyone watching this? I'm a big tennis fan... wondering if any of you guys in the UK are popping over to Wimbledon?

Not me this year

The year before last I saw both Venus Williams AND Leyton Hewitt on centre court - with Mark of course - I have been once before that with my Mum too.

The year I went with Mark we got Mark Philippousis' autograph on a giant tennis ball Cheesy

The ticketing for Wimbledon is done through a ballot - you send an application in and they randomly select people and offer them seats for a certain day (obviously they can't tell you who will be playing) - you can then refuse them, (but now I think ppl sell them on ebay instead) any returned tickets are put in a second ballot.

We were not offered any tickets this year or last - it's the luck of the draw

I did not know that!!   Smiley  It seems a bit unfair to me.  It would be great to attend one of the championship matches!   Smiley

Oooh... i am so jealous Roz - I am a huge Mark Philippoussis fan! he did so well last year - no one here expected him to, all eyes were on Lleyton until he crashed out.  I like Lleyton as well though. he's playing now - I half an eye on the screen now as I am studying for my exam on thursday. Bad FTY! Embarrassed

Score is 6-3 3-1 to Mark now btw Smiley

LOL actually Mark and me meeting Mark Philippousis (or however you spell it - you certainly can't read it properly on the oversized tennis ball) was our first ever meeting of a famous person for an autograph....

prior to that I did meet Tony Robinson in Jerusalem! Have you international folk even heard of him? Famous history junkie/archaeology buff/ actor/ madman?

(played the disgusting guy in Blackadder too - not Boff - what was his name?)
