Worldwide They said I could bid if I had a U.S. address that I could send it to... I told them that I lived in Canada.....they said payment through Paypal only because of that... and wouldn't be able to use their checkout system, If I won, I would have to contact the manager of the store that is selling the card (which I've already exchange greetings with) to arrange payment/shipping costs and the U.S. addy that I would have it sent to if I have the winning bid.....which I would rather do anyhow...could you imagine the duty taxes at the border on this one

Great finally made the list !!!!!! There was some slight confusion on my part as there was only 1 other bid with about 20 seconds to go.. they did bid $1755.00 which is fine but when i checked to see who did I beat out, it said that the bidder had no auction wins under their belt at all...and that they have been a member of only 5 days and as you know most newbies really want to bid $1700 on anything they can ? So I automatically thought oh great Shill Bidding, and even reported it to Ebay Ebay is getting to be quite famous for people bumping up the bids and having no intention of paying for any of them I see that the seller has now got 1 win under their belt from last night, and also a feedback already So after some emails to the states, this problem should be resolved.........Maureen (Now a Serious Collector)

Ooooooo!! I thought it might be another ebay newbie with seriously deep pocketsess ..... Edit: ahhh I know who it is now - I did wonder why they'd sold off some of their Potter cards pretty cheaply over the weekend!

Argh! Yes it is understandable to be frustrated and annoyed, but to be fair Mo has been waiting a long time for this moment

That's true. But who said "frustrated" or "annoyed" or something like that? Oh no. He's only a bit sad. I guess, Mo would have been more frustrated after 2 years of waiting. But we shouldn't talk about other people too much. All i wanted to conform is that there was no shill bid.

I would have slightly annoyed if I hadn't of won ..knowing it might be another 2 years before the next one to come up on auction, although in this crazy game another one could come up 2 hrs from now...........I'm familiar with the names of most of the "variant" collectors ,as we all have stepped on each others toes from time to time getting the special swatch for your collection..........BUT............ Has everyone noticed that this variant collecting has even been more competitive lately...some people I've never heard of before winning some really expensive cards.....Mo

I think there are many more HP collectors now than there were a year ago. I can't recall having so much competition, even for the more common cards.

Must be an easier and cheaper way to make it to the elite status...than the bloody way I got on..more like the insane leaf owners or the world club ??
