At the Blessing?

There were 2 seats next to William and Harry which the BBC presenters said the Queen would sit in. However when they arrived Philip sat in the pew BEHIND William and Harry, so the Queen followed. However, the Queen never sits BEHIND anyone for anything. So doesn't this strike you as odd?

Maybe the Queen knows something about William and Harry that we don't know about. Wink

Yeah - like Harry was doing something utterly stupid like wearing unsuitable and offensive costume again underneath his morning dress  Roll Eyes

I did try to but it was there. I'm not keen on the woman but at least he's doing the right thing now. If only he had done that all those years ago Roll Eyes

It was here as well - on every single channel (bar one). I can understand the Pope's funeral being on all channels - but this?

Time zone-age has prevented complete viewing of both of these events from this side of America. At least, I think. They showed the Pope's funeral live so it was in the AM hours. From just flipping the channels, it would seem that they repeated parts or complete viewing of the funeral on all the major news channels CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.

The whole wedding was rather pushed to the side-line compared to the funeral. They mentioned it but that was all I heard of it. Then again, my eyes weren't really glued to the news channels.

There are several in the Royal Household who believe that the monarchy will not exist after Liz's death.

Personally I will heave a huge sigh of relief if that's the case

P.S. No wedding presents from Oz this time hahahahahaha

He hee - apparently when he married Diana you sent almost a household full of stuff including many many many bottles of wine Smiley so remember all this when I am getting married Tongue  Grin

And no prints please Wink unless it's a signed Print by Alan Lee and Ian McKellen - that would be ok Tongue

Nah I'm just kidding, I thought it was Awesome that you guys didn't send that much.

Amusingly enough someone printed and sold Union Jacks at the event and printed them all and placed them on sticks upside down, which is not only a sign of distress, but also an insult to the crown, which is hilarious - mistake or intended? I hope it was intended  Grin

Gosh we never sent that much - the article I posted said that we sent them 20 handcrafted silver platters

Probably gathering dust in a random garage in Buckingham palace Wink

Nahhh I bet they aren't FTY ... bet Lizzie has either given them away to 'trusted' staff or they've been auctioned on the quiet.

I think you'll find an awful lot of people in the UK share my antipathy towards the Crown and more specifically to Charlie Farley and Piggy Malone ... *opps* ... that's a Two Ronnies sketch! LOL Roll Eyes Tongue
They did surveys to see how many people would be daft interested enough to watch it and around three quarters stated they didn't give a hoot about it!

I can understand the Pontiff's funeral attracting HUGE crowds, but as I'm not a religious person at all then it held no interest for me and I'll keep my opinions over it all to myself! Lips Sealed

They always say ... don't discuss religion or politics as you're bound to offend somebody, so I'll be a good girl and keep schtum. Wink

The only bit of Charley Farley/Drippy Di memorabilia I own is a dreadful yellow mug which my late mother bought and gave to me in a fit of extreme bad taste (bless her!) ... I'd dearly love to smash it cos it's that bad, but as it's something she gave me for a bit of a giggle then I've not had the heart to do it.
One day though ... *looks beadily at said mug* ... 'your days are numbered you 'orrible thing'! Tongue

LOL Grin
