Could some of are Australian Yaks give me some information on this Undecided I heard on CNN that the Tasmanian Devils, found only on the island of Tasmania, are dying out because of a face cancer passed to each other by bitting. Thanks

They have a facial tumour which causes them to starve to death. The latest study shows that it is apprently transmissible, ie passed on when one devil bites another and infects it.

Im not sure...i think they are trying to quaratine them etc..this is an article about it from a paper is Melbourne

You might want to change the title of the post from "Tasmanian Tigers" to "Tasmanian Devils".

Very interesting article.  I hope they're able to control it so we don't lose another species...

Not a bad idea Mike! When I first read the post I thought that the Tasmanian Tigers might be some form of football team Wink I thought they had irresponsibly been training outside right near to the hole in the Ozone layers without sunblock Tongue
