I tried WH smiths who where very unhelpful and I got the 'if its not on the shelf' line didn't even look it up on the computer. I also tried in HMV (who had a lot of TTs) but they didn't have it but at least they tried and phoned the stock room. I will keep my eye out or oder them on the site. Smiley

I'd just order them online like I did Dawn.
The playaday.com site was dead easy to use and like Roz said ... the P+P was free!! Wink

I asked about them in Toy'R'Us and for once I got a helpful person who went and checked in the stockroom for me, which is made for pleasant change! Roll Eyes
They were okay in the Co-Op too, just said that as soon as their main warehouse received them then they'd get them to put on on sale a few days afterwards ... buuut couldn't say when that would be unfortunately.
I didn't bother asking about them in any of the other places I went in as I'd had enough of traipsing around town by then. Tongue

They'll still be quicker than waiting for the shops to stock them. Roll Eyes
I know this might sound heretical, but the retailers don't regard the Top Trumps sets as exactly prime selling stock, even though we know as HP collectors and fans of the books/films that they will fly off the shelves. They're also cheap enough for kids to buy them out of their pocket money, so I reckon the shops being so slow off the mark does them no favours at all.
I know it's been a Bank Holiday and all that but that's still no excuse in my book. Tongue
Everyone is waiting for the next book to be released and then GoF later in the year, so anything to ease the withdrawal symptoms will be eagerly sought after. Wink

You might be pleasantly surprised ... then again maybe not ...

http://www.playaday.com/global.asp

Take a look, though I don't think they carry the complete stock for each country.

Yes I thought that was strange too.
Still, it's accepted the order and you won't have to pay for the P+P so why not? Grin
I also noticed they've got a countdown running for the next set of the Star Wars cards. Roll Eyes

I think we're going to have to help out with these cards as they don't appear to be widely available, and I don't see why you should have to pay huge sums of money for them when they cost just under £4.00 a set!
I've no idea how much the shipping costs would be to send them, but I guess that could be sorted out later ....

The two sets I've bought online tonight are already taken ... one for me and one for my son, but I'm sure more could be ordered. Tongue

Okay ....

Who wants them then .... and I'll see what I can do.

They cost just under £4.00 a set at the moment (because they aren't charging for UK postage) and I'd have to find out how much shipping would cost to send them to the US and to Oz.

Let me know for definite that you want them and it might be a good idea to send me your details via PM, so I can get the P+P right.

Will that be any help? Wink

I honestly don't know.
The way I read it is that what you see listed for each country is what is available to buy there.
They are definitely based here in the UK though ... there's a London address and phone number on my invoice so I imagine yours will be the same too?

There's another site here in the UK which also sells a good range of them (though they don't have HP as listed in stock just yet)
http://www.simplytoptrumps.com/Qstore/Qstore.cgi
I've no idea if they ship abroad or not so you'd have to email them and ask.
I bought a couple of LOTR Trilogy sets from them and they were good to deal with and had friendly email contact.
