Martha is going to Torchwood but will be back in the tardis about halfway through next season, Kylie is appearing in the Xmas special & I agree about the Daleks & Thinkies as well as Mrs Master LOL  Dr will get a couple of new companions  |

I'm in the two thumbs down group for Ms Tate . She has already said that she won't do more than one series because of her theatre commitments plus I think it was just like watching a montage of her series characters in the Runaway Bride. Look there's Lauren and here is Nana! I liked Martha and whilst at least she is moving to Torchwood I would have rather she had stayed in Dr Who. I actually think the Master swapped bodies with Mrs Master before he died. This would explain why he couldn't regenerate and why she went to collect his ring at the end |

Sorry to double post.
Just wanted peoples best and worst episodes of the series. I liked 42 and Utopia the least, ok the Master came back but not much else seemed to happen. Best is harder, there's been so many good ones I think the ones with Mr Smith where the best and they show just how good an actor David is to pull it off so convincingly.

I think if I was pushed I would have to say the first episode was my favourite - the one where he met Martha for the first time. I liked the way he proved he was a time traveller and the way the two of them bonded from the start. My least favourite was also the first episode but purely from a continuity point of view. The Doctor died!!!! Why didn't he regenerate!!!!

Well as mentioned in the report David is going to be playing Hamlet, which I would loved to have seen (I do like me shakey), but unfortunately for me is going to be in Stratford-upon-avon  Not only that Partick Stewart is also going to be in it (hows he going to handle David being the lead?), so tickets will be like gold dust anyway, hay ho. But there is good news if the quote for 'What's on Stage' is to be believed. "Tennant is currently filming the 2008 series of Doctor Who, but his RSC commitments will prevent him from filming one for 2009. The BBC has said that the actor has agreed to return, post RSC, to film the sci-fi TV programme’s five series, due to be aired in 2010." It does make sense to me, that, that's why they are having a break. I hope so, David's doctor is brilliant (I bet his Hamlet will be too, anyone got a spare bed in Stratford-upon-Avon?) |

The theatre has more than 1000 sets (although it feels more like 100) and he'll be there for a whole season. Mark got tickets to see McKellen as Lear as late as November. I picked up tickets to see McKellen in the Seagull in the last Stratford performance just two weeks ahead! Not only that Partick Stewart is also going to be in it (hows he going to handle David being the lead?), Tennant will play the Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, a young-ish man whilst Stewart will play his Uncle Claudius, an aged King of Denmark. Stewart will more than make his mark on stage whether he plays the lead or not (as did McKellen in the Seagull). It's not Tennants debut in the RSC, and I'm sure that you will be surprised by how Tennant and Stewart are surrounded by an amazing quality supporting cast. He is also in two plays so I say go to Stratford for two days and get tickets for Love’s Labour’s Lost the other day, have a holiday in Stratford this year and keep your carbon footprint low  For London-bound people McKellen (et al)'s Lear will be in London from November. It does make sense to me, that, that's why they are having a break. I hope so, David's doctor is brilliant (I bet his Hamlet will be too, anyone got a spare bed in Stratford-upon-Avon?)
Mark and I stayed with relatives just South of Birmingham when we went to see Lear, but when we saw the Seagull we just hopped in the car and whipped along the A14 in 2 hours. Then 2 hours back. I bet that there are plenty of trains back to London at theatre closing time from Stratford (upon Avon), or you could go to a Matinee. |

Thanks for that, I would love to see David in Hamlet, I have seen a few Shakespare plays (and performances from the RSC) have loved them all. Even saw Alan Cumming (X men II) as Hamlet years ago, he was veryy good and I am sure David will be just as good even better. The Doctor died!!!! Why didn't he regenerate!!!!
Been thinking about this I think its because regeneration you have to be close to death, once your dead its too late. |

Not too long ago, BBC America was showing a marathon of Dr. Who. I watched for the first time...and loved it! But I am a little confused. I read online that Billie Piper (Rose) left the series in 2006. Is BBC America behind the UK airings of Dr. Who? Have they found another sidekick/love interest for Dr. Who yet? I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I do love the show and want to understand things better. |
