Yeah - I've only been to one London Expo - the others have passed me by as they haven't had many LOTR guests, but I went to the one where they had Billy Boyd and Craig Parker. I like EXCel where they have it too Smiley

lol - yes that was a bit of a Shenanigan Cheesy

Here's some pics from the weekend, not many but it was pretty quiet and I spent most of the time either being teased by Richard  Roll Eyes (MPC), encouraging destruction of Martinez sketches (see http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=1870 or discussing various natural disasters with Annie (from Collector Zone and Cards Inc).

Well, here was Yak Base (aka Chidgey's Collectables's mother ship).

Note the awesome Yak Shack Banner - designed by Mark himself and produced by Chris of Chidgey's Collectables Smiley top notch.

Over at Cards Inc they had a very cool looking mocked up box - for revenge of the sith cards from Tops (not the main set - I can't remember what set it is now - it's  too late in the day  -with a lenticular top - very nice looking!

Whilst we are on the Star Wars' theme - you might remember that CI are making a "Medallionz set" of coins available (as far as I know this is UK only but please do correct me if you know any better). Now they are launched on May 10th (I believe) and on that exact day - in Hamleys (London obviously) everyone who buys a pack of Star Wars Medallionz will recieve one of these exclusive ones

sorry about the pic, it's a very small item and it's also very shiney Wink slightly larger than a 50p piece. This Darth Vader Medallion will be  extremely limted and will only be available to the first few customers who   buy packs on the 10th of May. In fact - they expect to have run out of these by about lunchtime Roll Eyes ok? So you HAVE been warned.

They also had a Family Guy Box mocked up and ready (and as you can see - a stack of promos so that everyone could take one for their collection).

They were showing off their forthcoming 2000AD set with a few awesome sketches:

and even had mock ups of the Wallace and Gromit set packs and boxes (although the movie is not out til November time so this is very very very early and I think they are stlll in the early stages on this set, but they definitely sound to be having some good ideas.

OK it's seriously late for me - well - after the day I've had anyway Wink and Mark's ankle has swelled to the size of a rugby ball so I'd best go and see hes' ok.

P.S. I've just got one last thing to say about this weekend... it cost more than 50p

P.P.S Thanks for the help with the pics Annie (of the Collector Zone and Cards Inc Wink)

Nice pics Roz ~ thanks for posting them! Kiss
Sweet dreams m'dear!! Grin

Oooooo I know I'll have to try and lay my mitts on one of those exclusive SW Medallionz for a certain somebody!
He's started twittering on and on and ON about the third film and like many die-hard SW fans, is very impatient for it to be released.
I'll be glad too, if only for a bit of peace and quiet. LOL Roll Eyes

Well it was good to see a few friendly faces, the usual fun dealers D&M cards, MPC/Richard, somebody called Chidgey's Collectables... not sure if you have heard of them Wink so from the forum I remember seeing Geekboy, MakTheYak, AlmostMorning/Joy, angels/ Angie, Thanh/Cowblue, Darren, Annie, Graham (a representitive Wink for Sharon) and I KNOW I saw others - so if I have forgotten you please don't hit me Wink

Everyone who I knew in advance would be visiting had a named badge made and Mark and I were lucky enough to have new ones for this event: sticking to our LOTR theme:

 Grin

P.S. I updated my original report with a nice big picture of Chris' stall so you can see the banner better and also some of Chris' stock to make your mouths water.

P.P.S. Thanks to Sharon for sending chocolate - HOW did you know???  Grin

Are these personalised name badges accurate pictorial representations of the wearers? Grin

Yes, that's right, Mark is rarely seen wearing much more than a loin cloth and he has no hair.

That guy in the picture sketching above is AN IMPOSTER Wink  Roll Eyes

*FTY's mind is filled with disturbing images of a bald Mark in loincloth on skates chasing after a short, hairy footed breeches clad AND skates wearing Roz*
