The cheapest thing I ever bought was a train ticket to South Carolina to see my family for 120 dollars

How far was that from you.  I expect Birmingham is about 4-5 hours from me and the train ticket would be anything from $150

If you was really interested Mega Bus would probably be your best bet.  You have to book it on line and a bit in advance but they are dirt cheap eg London to Southampton £2 return plus 50p booking fee.

Ooh I might check that out - I pay £37 return on my Young Persons Card every 2 weeks to visit my parents in the New Forest (30 mins by car or 17 mins by train from Soton). The train to London's only about £13 so this might save me a bit - I might give it a go and see how slow it is Smiley

Chris we will of course be the handiwork - Mark might need to sit behind programming websites in the background on a Mac laptop but we can ignore him for those instances Wink But I'll be there!

Of course the downside is you'll have to have the Yak Shack banner and put up with Yak Shackers using your stall as their spiritual home during Memo but I am sure you can handle it!

P.S. Boggle - see you there - we'll bring you a badge Cheesy

Sort of similar - the London Film and Comic Con - there's lots of celeb guests usually there (no one confirmed yet) but a LOT less card dealers  Undecided and no Yak Shack presence apart from a meeting for a quick cup of tea

Um but less card dealers might save me money  Roll Eyes

London is a lot easier to get too.

So when is this usually?

Now I'm very confused, where does collectormania come into it? Looks better than the London one.

There's no doubt about it - Collectormania is better.

It's run by the same guys (Showmasters) but it takes place in Milton Keynes, which is probably as bad for you as Brum so we didn't suggest it... and you DID ask for something in London

Very probably, my geography is useless  Roll Eyes I live 45 mins from the capital so why don't I get good collectors fairs stamps foot  :'(

Actually I've just had a look on trainline and MK is about 2 hours instead of Brums 4.

Not cheap though.

OK sorry to be a nag but look at what you just did. That's 3 posts in a row. Do you see the 'modify' button next to all your posts? Please use it in the future, instead of double or triple posting. It just makes the whole board easier to read and tidier. Thanks...

Edit: Thanks, I can see you have the idea now Smiley

Yeah sorry guys but it's best if you have made a post and want to add to it  to just edit your previous post, if you add a new post it clutters up the thread a lot and takes up more of people's bandwidth to read, and of course more of our bandwidth to load.

Mark (MakTheYak) owns this site (which is first and formost a showcase for his cartoons) and foots the heafty bandwidth bill he gets presented with every 10 days or so plus the hosting for the year at the end of the year so we have to respect his wishes on this one.

He is also the guy who wrote the price guide, whilst I add card info, pictures etc, he is the one with the skill to edit it and make it better, he created it from nothing in notepad and on a whim could return us to nothing again (but he won't... will he? Lips Sealed) anyway we also need to be nice to him because there are a few adjustments that would improve the price guide, e.g. the addition of graphs to show long term price trends etc., and I think where you go in "view sets" should have smaller symbols for viewing and larger text for each set - perhaps even the set motif provided by the manufacturer??

Anyway the bottom line is we need to keep on his good side Wink so please edit your topic where necessary rather than starting a whole new post.

Thank you for your patience
