Was messing around to see if I could get a good pic of the cell on one of my film cards.  Just held it up to the monitor, then took a picture with the digital camera.  Came out really nice.  Might try my other film cell cards later.

That's pretty cool the way you did that! Cool

I think I'll try it too, as soon as I can find my digital camera. Roll Eyes

Tried it with my other Film cards (also 2 Disney film cell cards).  Not as good as the one above...but they're Trelawney in front of class, kids going downhill for class, and Snape coming through doorway.

My scanner does an okay job of capturing the film cells.  I'm not doing anything special either, just putting the card on the glass and closing the lid.

Upper Deck has done a good job with its filmcards.  Although, I think the Disney Treasures boxes are a bit boring.  You can pull one or sometimes two filmcards per box (there are also some patch cards), but that's it.  Some of the series have one or two autos for the entire run.  Getting one in a box is virtually impossible.  I definitely like the variety of costumes, props, autos and filmcards!

My brilliant film cards arrived today from a very lovely member of our community (the lovely Anna). I tried scanning them but that didn't work so will try the old monitor behind the camera trick  Wink

Wow, you are a quick reader!  I deleted my previous message immidiately after I posted it cuz I thought it was funny when I wrote it but when I read it back it was just stupid.   Embarrassed

Whatever method you use, don't put the card too close to a halogen light bulb.  I tried that method with a Disney Donald Duck film cell and the top loader started to melt.  Luckily Donald was fine.   Smiley

They certainly are. Oh I love them. I was a bit dissapointed with my first one which had mcgongall with Rosmert and Fudge with their heads chopped off. But these ones are great, for those of you who can't make out my fuzzy pictures.

Theres;

Harry flying buckbeak
Harry on his bed looking at his parents picture
Talking to Mr Weasley
Looking down from the clock tower

And they are georgous Grin

Ok I must admit I do like Harry but it is his story after all he's the hero.

(I'm just waiting for Dan to take some ageing potion Wink lol )

I must say I also like Lupin, and Snape is very intreging Undecided

That would be nice but he wasn't in it much. Maybe in the P/S Stone set, as Haggy was THE one who told Harry he was a wizard  :'(

I think I have 2 or 3 with really good closeups of Hagrid in the film cell.  I am going to be taking pictures of them all in the next few days if anyone wants to see them.

I'm sure mcgonagall would LOVE to see them, but be prepared for an unexpected guest if you do as I'm sure she'll be popping over to see them in person! Shocked Wink
Actually, I'd like to see them too please! Grin I'm quite content to see them on the computer screen though ... Tongue
