Watch out: Ebay email scams

OK well everyone knows about the phishing scams that you get in spam making people put in their ebay details and stuff.

A lot of people are getting more savvy about this and checking where the urls in emails point before clicking on them. now it would seem that even links pointing at ebay can be fakes... take a look at this:

So in essence, don't trust any emails about ebay unless they are about items you actually bid on or are watching. If it seems at all generic it might not be safe! those fiends...

It's to the point now where the only eBay emails I trust are the ones accessed directly through My eBay.

I was coming here to let everyone know that yet another dodgy paypal email is doing the rounds, but i've been beaten to it! Let's be careful out there!!

When I was having trouble with ebay scan emails I read that ebay always has a dot before ebay, which is what I have looked out for since. Also the scam emails don't have your user name which the real ones do. I now have the ebay tool bar which tells you if its really their site (and paypal).
