There is no Update Gold foil base set

Hi,

i am talking about this auction:

This is just the seller, who is mentioned in the Price Guide with this Update base set. He is the only one i know, who says that there exists an update gold foil base set. I guess, he was the reason for putting it in the price guide. But hey, this isn´t definitely the Update set !!!  

We all know that there is a 90 card gold foil base set from the 1st set. It´s also in the price guide. I am possessing one of these.

And hey, it´s interesting. The picture of his "Update"-Set shows the gold foil card No. 34. Look at my scan, this is my gold foil card. And it is card No. 34 from the 1st Set !!!

So Mark or Roz should correct the price guide and should delete the non existing update set.

And i informed the seller and asked him for deleting the word "update" in his auction. Thanks for listening.

Cool - hadn't spotted that - the gold set does exist though, Mike's confirmed it!

Really??? Isn´t it possible that there was some misunderstanding with this confirmation??? I can´t believe it.

You mention this confirmation in the price guide: "Mike Simon at Artbox advised us: The gold sets were produced (not very many) as a test for the gold foil stamping for production only. We did this to see what the foil stamp would look like on the trading cards. But, the silver stamp was the ones we went with for the POA trading cards."

But hey! A test for the update set makes no sense !!!   They had much experience with gold foil from the 1st set. In my eyes, this can only be a statement for the First set. In my opinion some misunderstanding ...

Maybe i am wrong, but for the moment i can´t believe that there is any update gold foil base set.    And I never saw one anywhere.

As far as I remember only 2 made it onto ebay - (that sold) that third was a tad high (about 5-6 times the sale price of the previous ones) ... has he reduced it?

Not much, but a little bit. But the price was much better than the one of OzCardsInc.
